Job Description: Associate Data Scientist

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented Data Scientist to join our data science team. In this role, you will assist in developing and implementing advanced data models, working closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven decisions and insights.   

Key Responsibilities:

• Data Analysis: Perform data analysis and exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights and trends that inform business decisions.
• Model Development: Assist in developing, testing, and validating machine learning models and algorithms.
• Data Preparation: Collaborate with the data engineering team to gather, preprocess, and clean data for analysis.
• Feature Engineering: Create and select relevant features for model development and optimization.
• Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of deployed models, identify areas for improvement, and retrain models as needed.
• Visualization: Create data visualizations and dashboards to communicate findings and insights to stakeholders.
• Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in data science, machine learning, and AI technologies.
• Documentation: Document data science processes, methodologies, and results for reproducibility and knowledge sharing.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with engineering, product management, and business teams to integrate data science solutions into products and services.
• Problem-solving: Apply advanced analytical techniques to solve complex business problems and support strategic decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.

• Proven experience (1 – 5 years) in data science, machine learning, or a related role.
  Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.

• Experience with machine learning frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch).

• Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, Matplotlib).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.

• Experience with SQL and database management.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the technology industry, particularly in SaaS or AI-driven products.
• Knowledge of Generative AI, natural language processing (NLP) and text mining techniques.
• Familiarity with big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark).
• Understanding of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
